Your saves stay on your device

Front Office Hoops runs entirely in your browser. Your leagues, rosters, and settings are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. They are never uploaded to us — we couldn't read your save if we wanted to. Clearing your browser data for this site deletes your saves, so export a backup from Settings if you care about a franchise.

No account needed

Today, you don't create an account to play, and we don't collect your name, email address, or any other personal information. If we introduce optional features that use accounts in the future, this page will describe exactly what they collect before they launch.

Analytics

We use two analytics tools while we transition from one to the other: Umami (a cookieless visit counter) and PostHog (US cloud), which processes usage data on our behalf. What they see: pages visited, anonymous feature-usage events — a league was created, a trade was made, a season finished — your browser and device type, and approximate location from your IP address. What they never see: your name (we don't know it), your league saves, or anything you type into the game.

Analytics uses a random identifier stored in your browser so we can tell "one person played ten seasons" from "ten people played one season each." It is not tied to your identity — there are no accounts — and we don't follow you across other websites.

A small sample of play sessions may be recorded (screen interactions only, with typed text masked) to help us find and fix usability problems. Recordings are deleted automatically after a retention window.

You can turn all of this off: the game's Settings page has an Analytics toggle, and it's honored everywhere, immediately.

Cookies and third parties

This site sets one first-party analytics cookie (the random identifier described above) and nothing else. Fonts are served from our own domain — no third-party CDNs watching you load a page — and there are no ad networks or social-media pixels here. If that changes (for example, if we add advertising to support the free game), this page will describe it plainly, and anything legally requiring your consent will ask for it first.

Some links lead off-site. Once you're there, that service's own privacy policy applies, not this one.

Changes to this policy

This page describes how things work right now, and we update it when reality changes. The "last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version. For material changes — anything that starts collecting new data — we'll post a notice on the site, not just quietly edit this page.
